Dennis Bouwmeester is an experienced hairstylist based in Amsterdam Oud-West, known for his precision, technical colour expertise, and highly personalised approach to hair. With a career spanning more than 15 years in the industry, Dennis has built a strong foundation in both the creative and technical aspects of modern hairdressing.

He began his career at Hoofdbureau on the Overtoom, where he developed his skills in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. This early experience shaped his discipline, attention to detail, and ability to consistently deliver high-quality results under pressure.

Afterwards, Dennis worked as a manager at Kinki Kappers, where he further refined his leadership skills and deepened his expertise in cutting, colouring, and salon management. In this role, he worked with a wide range of hair types and styles while also mentoring stylists and maintaining high professional standards.

After 15 years in the industry, Dennis made the decision to work as an independent stylist (zzp’er), allowing him to fully focus on his craft and his own creative vision. This step marked the beginning of a more personal, client-focused way of working, where quality, detail, and individual attention are central.

Today, Dennis has realised a long-held dream: running his own high-end boutique salon, Haus No.163, in Amsterdam Oud-West. Haus No.163 is located on the waterfront of the Kostverlorenvaart, offering a calm and refined environment where craftsmanship and personalised service come together.

The creation of Haus No.163

Together with his co-owner, Dennis has been running Haus No.163 since 2026, a high-end boutique salon located on the Jan Hanzenstraat 163 at the waterfront of the Kostverlorenvaart in Amsterdam Oud-West. The salon combines modern hairdressing techniques with a calm, refined atmosphere, offering clients dedicated one-on-one attention in a premium setting.
